We will live life

You will live life,
slowly and with open eyes.
You will live the life God gave you
just beside the worm, the owl, the moon…

You will live life,
just as it is, with realism,
but immersed in the magic of dreams,
with that melody that wishes to sing to you
the mystique of God’s smile.

You will live life,
with the illusion of all new beginnings,
even when the lamps of your house go out
you think that the dawn will come at any time
and you act supported by prayer.

You will live life,
you will live it together
with the shadow of your fellow travellers,
even if you walk as if you don’t know where your feet are heading to,
looking at the horizon
one who knew how to embrace fire and water,
with the passion of being in love.

You will live life
and you will live it in the nudity of the singing of birds,
when the perfume of the blooming trees is
but the promise of the fruit,
far from the fullness of certainties.

You will live life
in the exodus of the sailors going to sea,
embracing the empty nets,
the more they embrace hope
the further they are from the port.

You will live life
you will live it in the middle of the night
thinking that the beat of the sun waits for the rain,
and that the vineyards spread out incessantly
roots and shoots to the sky and the earth,
so that human beings have
wine that cheers up our hearts.

You will live life.
You will live it even if your footprints cry,
since the wound of the road will not heal
as long as you don’t give shelter to the world
in the inn of happiness.
